I kept hearing, _“The Root Problem.”_ I prayed about it, and this is what I got, _“You do not have to look or act like you have it all figured out. You do not have to act like you do not have any issues. *Be like an open book.”*_

▪️ *The Vision of the Fenced Space*

I saw myself in a fenced space. I wasn’t bound, I could move about freely. The space was large, but it seemed like no one had ever entered it. The door looked old and jammed — like it had not been used in a very long time. My right hand was clenched. In it were keys — the keys to the door. But my fingers had become stiff, and I couldn’t open them on my own. *I needed water and oil to loosen my hand.* Then I saw — a tap and a jar of oil on a cupboard. I was still trying to understand what this had to do with the “root problem.”

▪️ *The Illusion of Connection*

I saw people outside the fence — people who consider themselves close to me. They were leaning on the wall. *Over time, small holes had formed in the wall, so I could pass things to them and collect things from them. This created the illusion that I was close to them.* But I saw that at times, I would withdraw to a corner of the space that had no holes and curl up there — alone.

▪️ *The Message on the Wall*

On the wall, boldly written, was: *“SELF-PRESERVATION”.* Then I heard: _“It is time for you to open the door and bring this wall down. You cannot move further with this.”_ It felt like I was on a journey with some others — *But I had found a way to move with my fenced space.*

▪️ *A Song and a Call*

Then I heard a song: _“Swallow your pride._ _Tonight, come to the school of the Spirit._
_Don’t you know that in His hands is the key to eternal life?_
_A little here, a little there,_ _until the day we’re done. He’s at work in you._
_He’s moving everything, in obedience to Christ.”_

Then I saw that I was to come out of that space and burn it down.

▪️ *The Insect: Self-Preservation*

Then I saw a black insect with about six legs. It was labelled: *SELF-PRESERVATION* Each leg had a name, and the name was explained.

* *Pride:* You reject instructions and the words of the Lord. *You exalt your will over His* — even if you don’t do it often. As long as you have the capacity to do this — it’s pride.

* *Unbelief:* Your belief is reflected in your actions. *Do you believe what God has said to you?*

* *Distrust:* You try to fix things yourself. *But what do you know? How far can you really see?*

* *Pretense:* *You act like everything is fine.* Oh! Dear one, be vulnerable? Be like a little child.

* *Lies:* You lie to yourself — not to God, not to your adversary.

* *Cowardice*

▪️ *The Aquarium*

I saw that I had kept this insect in a special place. It looked like an aquarium — which was strange for an insect. But I understood it: *I had been preserving it. But this insect was meant to be killed. If not, it would grow large, become poisonous, and one day, it would sting and kill its owner — me.*
