I saw a football field, and a Being I perceived to be the Lord. He stood in front of the goalpost, dressed in kingly clothes. Next, I saw enemies with arrows trooping into the stadium and then I heard.
” For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” [Philippians 2:13]
And then, the football match began.
On the side of the light and the side of darkness had archers each. The Archers on the side of darkness were together at the stand behind the goal post of those of the light, where the Lord was the goalkeeper.
The Archers of the light were on the opposite side, behind the enemy’s goal post as well. As the match went on, I saw some people trying to share the duty of goal keeping with the Lord because *they didn’t trust that the Lord was a good keeper. This affected how the Lord was guarding the goalpost because they were invading His space. Some even began to push Him just to prevent the ball from entering the goalpost.
Possible interpretation:
The stadium is a place of tremendous impact, meaning whatever we do there has an impact on not just our lives (the players) but the spectators (the world).
Field could be ministry (whether ministry to the body or the saints or the world) and Christ is the goal. And the archers of light could be likened to the cloud of witnesses.
Christ the goalkeeper in His kingly robe is symbolic of the Glory of the Lord, Christ in us the hope of glory, but people trying to share the goalpost with the Lord is trying to share the glory that accrues to the Lord.
This is possible when people try to use their giftings for themselves rather to the glory of God.
