The Role of the Wanderers

18th August 2019

I saw a dark tan sole of a proper leather cover shoe. It still looked new, though I knew it was of one that had gone through a long journey. I guess there was a lot of grace. It was changed into the rough boot of a soldier, a really rough one. “Now the footprints are about to get even more real”, I heard.

I saw the footprints that had been created in times past by the former shoe in the sands of the desert. They were not noticeable that much and the desert winds would cover different ones of them. Now with this boot, the prints were sure to be deeper, more pronounced, not easily covered and would help others wandering in the wilderness to find some way to follow. I saw someone stumble on a part of the footsteps.

I followed it for a while and saw it was inconsistent, it seemed they had a lot of inconsistent footsteps that led to discouragement. Then he called the rest of his wandering company to march on. There was hope. At this point, I wandered how the company had come into play and how they had become a group, I had envisioned scattered wanderers.

Then I believe I heard the Holy Spirit talk about bringing wanderers together and making leaders of wanderers who will lead them to those who had hope and into the Promised Land.

I began to pray that the leaders should be kept humble to not assume the position of those that had hope. I heard a funny reply that gave me some peace, “Don’t worry there will be so hopeless to think they have hope”. He continued, “I’ll make them hungry for hope and that hunger will lead them and then they’ll bring others.

You focus on getting ready to fit your leg into these shoes, will your leg fit, or will it be loose?

Either way you will walk, only, that fitted shoes would create better footprints and it won’t be so easy to lose the shoes”.

The different footsteps which were different acts of obedience were intercepted at different points by different companies. It is why we must not be lax, as every step counts. You don’t know who or which company would follow up from that, you wouldn’t want to create faint or inconsistent footsteps and lose them.

Then I saw someone fighting a demon. Though the creature looked like a “creature of light”, so I heard. I knew it was a demon. As the person was fighting, for every victory he had over this demon, he was free of the demon-like nature in him, only a smaller version.

It was an external fight leading to an internal deliverance that the person wasn’t really aware of. Thinking about how this really applied, the principle of as we go out to fight the battles of the Lord, in evangelizing and in other things, we also are setting ourselves free of things.

So even in our going out, while we want to assume ministry mode let’s not forget that we are still under training, so we don’t throw away the lessons because of being too focused on ministering.

I believe, as has been said, in the days that are coming, the Lord will bring battles to us with an ulterior motive to deliver us of things that are left to deal with. Always remember the ulterior motives, while you bask in victory or almost cower in defeat.
