In case I am delayed, so that you will know how each one must conduct himself in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth – 1 Timothy 3:15 Truth is the opposite of deception. People are not sufficiently interested in God if they refuse to search and see if what they hear [preached] is true [like the Berean Christians in Acts 17:11]. The sheep listen to the Shepherd’s (Jesus) voice. It matters exceedingly that you know the voice of the Shepherd. If you do not know His voice, you will be deceived. Effective deception works by looking like the real thing. Expect whoever comes to deceive you to know [and teach] the scriptures. Deception is satan’s power. The mark of the beast is often referred to as what we use to buy and sell – MONEY. Money and deception are inextricably interwoven, they go hand in hand. Your relationship with money often determines the extent to which you may be deceived. There are two seasons a Christian experiences – times of abundance (day) and times of lack (night). Those who insist on permanent day are the ones that twist the scripture. Truth is the one thing that counters lies. You must love it passionately. You recognize the church of the Living God by THE VOICE – through SCRIPTURES.
